The mullah answers, "We can not permit
Attacks against
The Most Compassionate
To stand, when we have such capacity
For opposition to indecency.
You can not place your hope in tactical
Ability if every principle
Of Islam is suborned to meet this end.
If
The Most Great is willing to extend
His strong protection over us He will,
And though the hateful unbelievers mill
Around the shield created to secure
The faithful, their assault will not endure
Against the might of
The Victorious.
In contrast, if Allah
The Glorious
Has singled any person out to die,
Upon no fortress can that man rely
To save himself at his appointed hour.
We can't allow the evil to devour
Our courage and constrain our pious acts
Until our virtuous standards we relax."
