Should pay the
khums so I can oversee
The restoration of the
Askari.
Now anyone who has already paid
His holy taxes need not be afraid
To give more money than what God demands.
Such gifts confer more blessings on the hands
Of those whose generosity excels
The minimum that faithfulness compels.
I plan to leave in early afternoon
And will depart for other towns as soon
As we conclude the
zuhr salat today.
So anyone who wishes to convey
Donations to assist this righteous cause
May do so to obey the holy laws
Or to enhance the blessings he receives.
If God is willing, everyone who grieves
Will soon be comforted for what occurred
This last
Muharram on the
twenty-third."
